Four NEW Businesses Opening in Downtown Cedar Rapids

Cedar Rapids, IA - - The Economic Alliance is excited to welcome two new businesses to downtown, and celebrate progress of two other businesses, scheduled to open in downtown Cedar Rapids within the coming weeks!

Ultimate Body Shaping is now accepting registration for classes in their new downtown location at 217 Third Street SE. Forty-five minute endurance and strength classes are offered in the early morning, over the lunch hour and evenings Monday through Friday. Jerseys Downtown has announced that they will open tomorrow, January 6 in the ground level of the Roosevelt building (200 First Avenue SE). Jerseys Downtown will offer more upscale interior and menu selections than its sister business, Jerseys Pub & Grub. Their downtown menu will include standard American entrees including grilled sirloin steaks, seared salmon fillet and pork chops, an array of salads and vegetarian options, rounded out with many of the favorites from their original pub. Jerseys Downtown will be open 11 a.m.-2 a.m. daily, and plans to serve only in a front bar area on Sundays.

Later this month, Downtown Wrigley Bar & Grille (329 2nd Avenue SE) and Hazzard County Saloon (315 2nd Avenue) plan to be open for customers. Downtown Wrigley (in the former Teeghan’s location) will be a wireless restaurant and sports bar with an indoor golf simulator and 17 large and ultra-large screen televisions for the ultimate sports fans. Hazzard County Saloon (replacing Toocan’s Tiki Bar) was inspired by the television show “Dukes of Hazzard,” and will offer country western music and dancing. Both plan to be open within the next few weeks.
