Third Phase of Luke Pay Stations to Go Live November 22

Preparation for Phase Three of the five phase rollout of the new “LUKE” parking pay stations will begin tomorrow, Wednesday, November 16. During this time, Park Cedar Rapids staff will be removing the coin-only meters and replacing them with new pay by space signs.

The anticipated “go live” date of Phase Three is next Tuesday, November 22. Phase Three includes activation of LUKE pay stations located on the 200-300 blocks of 1st, 2nd and 3rd Avenues SE, as well as the 100-200 blocks of 2nd Street (both east and west sides of the street) and the 200-400 blocks of 2nd Street (east side of the street only). A map of all five phases of the LUKE pay station project can be found on the new Park Cedar Rapids website, parkcedarrapids.com.

Park Cedar Rapids Ambassadors will be on the street to assist customers with the new LUKE pay stations. Enforcement will also be lenient in the newly activated areas to allow parking patrons to get used to using the new technology.

Activation of all LUKE pay stations will be complete by December 19.
