Downtown Parking Ambassador Needed (Temp Position)

Park Cedar Rapids is currently searching for outgoing personalities to join our team and help us meet our customer service objectives as we unveil new parking meter technology in downtown Cedar Rapids. These are temporary part time positions with the potential for additional hours and possibly even a full time position on the Park Cedar Rapids staff. These positions are extremely flexible offering a variety of shift options between 8am and 6pm Monday through Friday. Pay is $10-$12.00 / hour depending on availability and experience. JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a Park Cedar Rapids ambassador, your primary responsibility would be to assist those visiting downtown with use of new parking technologies in downtown Cedar Rapids. Ambassadors will be responsible for face to face interaction with downtown visitors on a daily basis. Additional responsibilities will include distributing information on downtown events, amenities, parking policies and procedures as needed.

SKILLS:
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills
o Ability to work the general public and provide one on one instruction as needed

REQUIREMENTS:
o Outgoing personality
o Ability to maintain a positive attitude and ability to work with potentially challenging customers
o Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours)
o Availability between the hours of 8am-6pm Monday through Friday
