Vice President Biden to Visit Downtown, Parking and Road Closure Update

Cedar Rapids Parking has issued re-routing instructions for use of the 3rd and 4th Avenue Parkades in lieu of the upcoming Political Rally featuring Vice President Joe Biden, Governor Chet Culver and his campaign supporters on Tuesday May 18, 2010 from 9AM-2PM in Greene Square Park.

Due to the rally event, 3rd and 4th Avenues between 3rd and 6th Streets along with 5th street from 2nd to 5th Avenue will be closed. Parkers in the Fourth Avenue Ramp are asked to enter and exit from 5th Avenue. Third Avenue Parkade users are advised to allow for extra time before and after the rally as traffic may be congested.
