Freedom Festival's return to its downtown Cedar Rapids venue will include a full day of July 4th activities for all to enjoy. Events such as the Alliant Energy Fifth Season Race, Pancake Breakfast, Patriots Bazaar, Chalk the Walk at Smulekoffs, Buster's Beach Party and of course the Celebration of Freedom Fireworks will create a terrific July 4th in downtown!
Fireworks will be launched from the grassy plaza area on May's Island between the Veteran's Memorial Building and the Linn County Courthouse around 9 p.m.
Patrons attending the fireworks show should consider the following parking options:
3rd Avenue SE Parkade -- Patrons arriving may use both 3rd & 4th Street entrances; for departure use exit onto 3rd Avenue
4th Avenue SE Parkade -- Patrons arriving my use both 4th & 5th Street entrances; for departure exit onto 5th Avenue
GTC Parkade -- Patrons arriving my use both 4th & 5th Street entrances; for departure exit onto 5th Avenue
Lot 44 - For all patrons leaving the lot use 12th Avenue.
