Ryan Companies US, Inc. is a design-build, general construction, construction management, and real estate development firm providing services to corporate office, manufacturing, industrial, product distribution, high-tech, medical, and retail customers. A family-owned business for over 70 years, Ryan owns and/or manages 13 million square feet of leased space and has offices in Minneapolis, Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, Davenport, Phoenix, San Diego, Tampa, and Chicago.

Ryan's Cedar Rapids office was established in 1990, and the Iowa division has grown to include offices in Des Moines and Davenport.  The Iowa offices offer special expertise in office, industrial, high-tech, retail, health care, hospitality and mixed-use projects.  In addition to construction, we offer a full spectrum of development services and operate a successful property management division, with owned or managed properties in Davenport, Moline, Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, and Johnston. Ryan Iowa staff can offer client support ranging from site selection to incentive negotiation as well as industry-leading design-build construction.

Ryan has a strong commitment to our communities and to the environment.  We build the principles of sustainability into every project.  When high levels of sustainability and third-party verification are priorities, we offer experience with LEED.  Ryan built some of the first LEED Certified buildings in the state, including facilities for Rockwell Collins, Alliant Energy, HNI Corporation, KJWW Engineering, and John Deere Credit.  The federal government has adopted LEED in its building projects, and the courthouse under construction on 8th Ave is targeted to be a LEED Silver facility.

The Iowa offices are active in giving back to the communities where we do business. Employees are frequent volunteers and board members, contributing financial resources or time to community schools, city boards and commissions, Rotary, and other organizations. Ryan has been instrumental in building and maintaining facilities for many local non-profits, helping to address community issues as vital and diverse as health care, housing, family assistance, the environment, and the arts.

Ryan has been active in rebuilding efforts, with many recent or current projects downtown—both reconstruction and new construction.  These include Theatre Cedar Rapids, the Human Services Campus, the Paramount Theatre, the new City Hall (old federal courthouse), the Mercy Cancer Center, the Public Library, the Federal Courthouse and the Great Furniture Mart building.
